I can understand not supporting the plethora of distributions, but they
could at least check that their software compiles with latest versions
of gcc. I'd say, making sure it compiles in at least *one* mainstream
distro would ensure all the others can catchup. Anyway, on debian-hams
someone posted he succeeded, sure I didn't try hard enough.
The version in debian is 1.11 iirc, arrl lists 1.13 on their website.
<rant>I'm seriously tired of hearing "linux userbase is minimal". There
should be one global linux strike day, where all servers that run linux
get shut off for 24h. I'd love to see their faces when they can't do
*anything* on the internet, then. If they can access the internet at
all, that is. Bets on what runs that radius server that authenticates
your internet connection?</rant>
