I have the TIMER tag before the RX tag, not sure why I ever put it there
but it has worked fine for me even though it is described differently in
the manual :-)

Having said that, I have e-mailed with Dave extensively about problems I
had with the timer randomly stopping. Most evident while switching between
virtual screens in KDE at first, but that was fixed a long time ago. The
last time I had this problem I *think* I deleted my macro definition file
and rebuilt it from scratch and that fixed it that time.
