Thanks. Apparently, it's OK but <TIMER> needs I think the macro tag <TX>
is needed otherwise there is no repetition. Am I wrong ? Is it intended
and if not should it be corrected, so that <TIMER> would repeat even if
there is no transmission ?

Having said that, I have e-mailed with Dave extensively about problems I
had with the timer randomly stopping. Most evident while switching between
virtual screens in KDE at first, but that was fixed a long time ago. The
last time I had this problem I *think* I deleted my macro definition file
and rebuilt it from scratch and that fixed it that time.

I'll investigate more but could you please confirm that this macro
should automatically restart every 20 seconds? Thanks
