I think the problem is more that FM found the font, but that fond didn't have the fontWeight: normal ... I know that if FM doesn't find the file I get different errors. I got the error you were talkting about if I wanted to embed a font that was internally marked "bold" as a plain font. I have to admit that I didn't really understand this, but I started living with it. I also couln't find a tool that outputs the settings I need to embed a font, so I ended up with trying the combinations. Perhaps this is the issue in your case.
I did have some trouble though getting the font embedding to work with FM4 and documented my stuff in my confluence ... mabe it helps: http://dev.c-ware.de/confluence/display/PUBLIC/Embedding+(CFF)+fonts <http://dev.c-ware.de/confluence/display/PUBLIC/Embedding+(CFF)+fonts> Chris 2011/2/8 François Le Droff <[email protected]> > I got this to work with the latest FM 4 release and SDK. > > The only difference with FM3 is that I included the fonts by using : > > > <includeFiles> > <scan> > > <directory>${project.build.sourceDirectory}</directory> > <includes> > <include>**/*</include> > <!-- will include everything > css/images/fonts and source files --> > </includes> > </scan> > </includeFiles> > > > > > > On Wed, Jan 5, 2011 at 9:40 PM, andrew <[email protected]> wrote: > >> I've seen several problems about fonts in FM 4 reported (http:// >> groups.google.com/group/flex-mojos/browse_thread/thread/ >> e8750b5c6f3e998a/9a91c3d47cf7f101, >> >> http://groups.google.com/group/flex-mojos/browse_thread/thread/1319563e5f97565c/bb7564821b2090c1 >> ) >> -- not sure if this is related... >> >> # mvn -v >> Apache Maven 3.0.1 (r1038046; 2010-11-23 05:58:32-0500) >> Java version: 1.6.0_20 >> Java home: /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre >> Default locale: en_US, platform encoding: UTF-8 >> OS name: "linux" version: "2.6.9-42.elsmp" arch: "i386" Family: "unix" >> >> flexmojo version: 4.0-beta-4 (also tried with 4.0-SNAPSHOT) >> >> flex framework version: 4.1.0.16076 >> >> I'm trying to compile a css to a swf.
