I want to test the update framework we have built into our air app and I need the update descriptor file to have the same version number. But as you have found flexmojo doesn't share that generated version when it's a SNAPSHOT build.
Sure I could hard code everything for testing, but that's inflexible and kinda defeats the purpose of using maven. I'm stuck with the new versionNumber property which replace the old permisive version property. The documentation state that it has to be XX.XX.XX and it's enforced at runtime. So something the the A.B.C-SNAPSHOT or A.B.C-BLA.BLA (as filled by the sign-air goal) does not pass. So how do you folk manage your version number in your dev environment (SNAPSHOT versions) ? -- Simon -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Flex Mojos" group. The value we put in the <version/> tag now comes from a custom property in the pom. Yes it forces us to perform additional filtering on the descriptor. And yes we have to manually update this property between release. At least all information comes from the pom. On the other hand I found it quite useful to have the ability to chose if a new artifact is promoted to auto update or not by incrementing or not the air version number. But we have more than a time forgotten to update that additional property and we had to re-release the artifact... Quite time consuming and a bit painful in the end... -- Simon Morvan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Flex Mojos" group.
