Interesting topic ... I will say it is better to understand what is right
than proving oneself right.
It depends on functionality. If the UI is rich feature extensive Flex/RIA is
better. Based on my experience so far I can say that managing html/jsp pages
are easier than flex due to newness of technology, but that doesnt mean we
should not try new thing.

There are many factors that should be considered before choosing technology:
- Ease of development
- Ease of maintainability
- Resource Availability
- Technical limitations
- etc etc
