Hi
I have done study on migration of Flex 3 to Flex 4.
Flex 4 comes with lots of new features and changes.
Flex 3 application is compatiable in Flash builder 4 provided you
choose Flex 3 compatiable option
Major changes in Flex 4
- Namespace has been changed.
- non-visible tag need to be within declarative section
- Change Module loader API
- Skining class needs to be created incase of styling
- HBox, VBox changed to HGroup and VGroup
Flex 3 application can't be compiled using Flex SDK 4. Migration of
Flex 3 application to Flex 4 will require
- Revisit in all design
- Skinning class needs to be created for style
- If using module, changes appropriate for Flex 4 Module API signature
- change in namespace
- restructure of non-visible tag to declartive section
There is no direct machnism to convert all your Flex 3 code to Flex
4 as of my knowledge. Experts do please let me know if there is any thought
on it
Thanks
Deepan
Thanks
