I switched over to Vista about a week ago, solely becuase I need to run FB with 4GB of RAM, otherwise I wouldnt have touched Vista :)
It worked and my first build of the day times have dropped from 45mins to 9mins. However due to a problem with an HP utility I had to do a SystemRestore on Saturday, it was restoring back to Friday morning, it said "don't worry your documents are unaffected", all it was supposed to do (I thought) was put back system drivers and some settings to how they were at that point in time.. Well.... I was gobsmacked when I started FB to find my project source code had been rolled back as well, even though it is in a separate folder not under my profile!! Not a total disaster, just lost Fridays work.... But why did this happen, and more importantly how do I stop this happening in the future!! I dont want "data" rolling back becuase of vista system issues. tks
