Hey man chill out, don't take it so offensive.

For someone asking:
"But why did this happen, and more importantly how do I stop this
happening in the future!! I dont want "data" rolling back becuase
of vista system issues."

I got the impression that you never heard of something like version 
control cause that question has nothing to do with Flex so I figured 
this guy is not really a "professional developer" cause he would have 
used some sort of VSS or at least made backups after a days work and not 
trusted Vista telling him that his documents are not affected. So maybe 
he needs help by telling him what professional software developers use 
for securing their sources without being offensive.

And yes I do check in "work in progress" that's where we use branches for.

Still, why ask Vista related questions in a non Vista related group.
