Yeah, I had variableRowHeight set to true, and I tried a whole bunch of things to try and get the row resized, but I've run out of time to get it working! I'll just have to stick the changes in a form at the side and be done.

I took a look at the AdvancedDataGridRendererProviders that Johannes suggested, but it falls under the same category. I feel I'm missing something totally obvious, but no-one else seems to have found a decent solution either, so maybe not...
