Thanks for the replies. My backend is ASP.NET (Visual Web Developer Express Edition).
I have contacted Yakov Fain of Farata Systems via e-mail, and their product is a full blown report generator with user designed reports etc. Their system ClearBI, unless something has changed, requires Apache/Tomcat for hosting the reports, and has more overhead than I want. How difficult is it to implement Ruport for a non Ruby system? If there was something similar to the old FoxPro reporting tool that was available for generating reports, that would satisfy most of what I need. Paul
