Hi, I guess (someone please correct me if i'm wrong) you should have a look at Java basics, understand how it works, read/ run / understand / modify some basic samples, write some small programs. For now just forget about how integrate it with these servers. Don't worry for now too about complex frameworks. I'm sugesting is that you have to be able to write some small programs in java before thinking of more complex problems, like using java as backend for flex applications.
