if you program in actionscript then you don't need to look at java basics, your questions would more prob be centered in workspace setup.
Some things to consider (with my local machine setup added) Questions like : which servlet container (tomcat 5.5) jdk (1.4.2) what do i need in my eclipse (i have the wtp all in one) how do i setup a project (extract either the tomact war or the lcds war into a new dynamic web project) those are for starters. there are several step by step guides (in some cases ivideos guides) showing you how to accomplish what needs to be done.
