I just gave my system in to an 'expert'.

I am going to have Server2003SBS/ColdFusion/MS SQL Express and MySQL
5 set up perfectly, and the entire thing Ghosted. I'm removing Flex
from my box altogether and mapping out Flex + CF/Developer on a
laptop so that no matter what else, I can always redo the server
with little more effort than a re-install of 6-7 discs. I hope
mapping Flex/CF on my development machine is not going to be a
nightmare, so I'm going to mirror everything down to the drive name
and letter just to be hopefully sure, and ensure the same JRE and
blah blah blah is set up in the first place, and Ghost them
both...before I so much as think of starting a new project. From
there, I hope I can just FTP/router in my Flex projects to the
server to go live.

I think it's the wisest approach after several months of problems
(all my own fault!)...now that I've sucked up the cost of everything
and actually purchased all this software.
