The tween I'm talking about is the animation of the TextArea expanding beyond the renderer, much like the animation for the List of the ComboBox. When the user starts editing a row and the itemRenderer is called, I start a tween to expand the TextArea out of the renderer. This is exactly how a ComboBox works, so I just snacked the appropriate logic from there and put it into a custom item editor. Just worked on this for about an hour so far so it's pretty darn rough, but here is the dataGrid item Renderer (with a lot of useless stuff specific to my project): http://www.evangiff <http://www.evangifford.com/as/> ord.com/as/ The tween to close works, but tween to open does not.
