Ram, The data comes back in a specialized model shape that the Pivot UI component can bind to. I imagine defining some kind of "IPivotDataDescriptor" along the lines of mx.controls.treeClasses.ITreeDataDescriptor. Some user interactions would require going back to the server while some may be handled locally. There would be some smarts in the client to know when it needs more data from the server.
