I own two Astron switching power supplies, the SS 25M and the 30M. Both cause
"floating spurs" or "hash" across the passband of my Flex3K and Flex5K. I
changed to a couple of older analog supplies and no longer have problems with
RFI from the supplies.

Leon,

Of course, this is like asking someone what make of car to buy. Everyone
has their favorite!

I am using the Alinco DM-330MV switching supply. It is rated at 32 Amp peak
& 26 Amp continuous. Many of the switching supplies, including the Astron
SS-25, have a tendency to generate RF hash across the bands. However, I
have had 3 of the Alinco supplies in service for several years with no
issues & all 3 are dead quiet, no detectable RFI from the supplies.
