I own two Astron switching power supplies, the SS 25M and the 30M. Both cause "floating spurs" or "hash" across the passband of my Flex3K and Flex5K. I changed to a couple of older analog supplies and no longer have problems with RFI from the supplies.

Everyone has their favorite! I am using the Alinco DM-330MV switching supply. It is rated at 32 Amp peak & 26 Amp continuous. Many of the switching supplies, including the Astron SS-25, have a tendency to generate RF hash across the bands. However, I have had 3 of the Alinco supplies in service for several years with no issues & all 3 are dead quiet, no detectable RFI from the supplies. 73, Ray, K9DUR http://k9dur.info _______________________________________________ Flexedge mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexedge_flex-radio.biz This is the FlexRadio Systems e-mail Reflector called FlexEdge.
