I'll add my depreciated $0.02 worth.

The 1500 will work amazing well on very low end systems (ATOM processors), but 
(there is always a caveat) with those systems you have to be mindful of the 
bloatware that is running on them too (virus checkers, antivirus, programs that 
"phone home" over the Interweb, etc..) and make sure the 1500 is not connected 
on the same USB controller as your mouse and/or keyboard, as they will 
interfere with the isochronous I/Q data flow between the radio and PowerSDR.
