Caution: It is delivered as a Microsoft HotFix (their beta software). There is
a convoluted process for getting it and it will require doing Windows brain
surgery (modifying the registry) to enable it.

As an IT professional, I took an oath to do no harm, so I won't actually give
you the gun, but the hotfix numbers were listed previously in the e-mail
thread.

Subject: [FlexEdge] 1394 Driver Question

I have a VIA chipset on the motherboard of my Windows 7/64 machine, and I also
have a SIIG card with a TI chipset. Both of these cards are using the
16385 driver. If I delete the drivers and search for updates, the system
reinstalls the same drivers.

Regardless of which firewire connection I use, I get good performance, but I do
experience the raspy audio whenever I experience a periodic high DPC.

I would like to try the 20756 driver, but how can I get it onto my computer so
that I can install it?

Thanks,
Dan
