Today II tried to move my CW operation from 2.0.14 to 2.0.16 but ran into numerous problems:
1. The keying envelope is extremely soft on the leading edge. Switching back and forth it's nearly perfect in 2.0.14, and way off in 15 and 16 2. COM port keying RTS and DTR have been reversed 3. Keying no longer works when MOX is pressed 4. There was a situation where I was definitely in CWU mode but it was transmitting AM: carrier and sidetone I did notice an apparent improvement in the T/R transition, with less switching noise and the AGC recovery seemed quicker. But I can't be sure if these are really improvements, or just side effects of other things not working. Has anyone else seen these problems? This comes in the wake of excellent receive latency results. I used my usual method of measuring the delay in arrival of beacon signals from expect propagation delay. The results ranged from 40ms at 192khz sampling, to 96ms at 48khz sampling. By far the best results I've seen! 73 Ed W2RF _______________________________________________ Flexedge mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexedge_flex-radio.biz This is the FlexRadio Systems e-mail Reflector called FlexEdge.
