The use of the Record/playback controls are designed to be used exclusively to
play back recorded over the air; not to listen to, which is why MOX must be
asserted before it will work.

Playing post-processed audio into the radio expecting I/Q data will have all
sorts of unintended results.

If you want to record off the air signals just to listen to, the use the WAVE
form and record, by pressing the record button, (Receive) pre-processed audio.
You play it back by selecting it file you just recorded by adding it to the
playlist and clicking on the PLAY button. Use the loop option to continuously
loop the recording.

Thanks for the reply Pierce.

I was recording another stations audio as a test and then tried to play it
back. I didn't want to transmit so I did not turn the MOX button on. I just
wanted to listen to it locally.

The problem is... that after I play any post-processed audio, it creates havoc
with the Panadapter display. Afterwards the display is centered 9 KHz below my
tuned freq and all received signals are mirrored symmetrically on both sides of
center.

I take it you are not having any problem with your setup using v2.0.19 RC1 and
it works ok as you describe(?).

I am wondering, is anyone else having this problem with the new beta release of
PSDR????

I captured jpegs but I don't know if this reflector allows attachments. I'll
hold them unless someone asks to see them.

Bill:

If you just want a quick record/play, click the MOX, click the white RECORD
button, then speak. To playback, click MOX, then click the PLAYBACK arrow.
If you don't want it to go over the air, turn drive to zero.
