I was downloading new updates to the Skins, So to turn off the radio (Since
I have a 5000C) I always pull the FireWire Cable. Then when I pluged it
back in I did not pay proper attention and felt a hole on the back and stuck
in the FireWire Cable..... I missed, it was a RJ45 Network cable hole....
I got the same results as you indicated.... After putting it in the right
socket all was Flexie again.

It isn't flakey at all, Drax. You just have a bad firewire cable or one
that isn't fully connected. Fix that and don't blame the software.

This new version .19 is too flakey for me. .16 worked fine.
The Flex 5000 keeps disappearing from the "Available Radio Interfaces"
list.
I've reinstalled everything several times. Sometimes I can start
PowerSDR
and other times nothing.

Also make sure the radio is communicating with the PC by checking the
status
in the FLEX Firewire Control panel.
