George,

None of the CAT commands can effect a sub-Hertz change.

Subject: [FlexEdge] F5K "frequency adjustment command"

Will the F5K accept any type of "frequency adjustment" command that will
allow a user to adjust the transmitted/received frequency by a fraction of a
Hz?

For example, can I send a "CAT (freq) command 14.001050" followed by a "CAT
(adj) command 07" to move the frequency up by .07 Hz, giving me
14.001050.07? I realize that I have to apply a DDS adjustment; but, I would
envision this capability to be handy for measurements. By syncing to an
external secondary standard, I would think that I could get extremely
accurate measurements without having to calibrate an external software
program.

Is there a hidden command for this lurking out there?

George
