I have used my F3K and the F1.5 on a IBM Lenovo T43 for the last 3 or 4 years
with no problem with a minimum of 2gb of memory; when I travel. Of-course no
digital only SSB and CW with a Carolina Windom antenna on my carry on bag.
Which brings up very interesting conversation with TSA at the airport. Forgot
to add that I also have a light weight switching supply and all the other
necessary items to go on air. Loving my NO knobs radio, Ernest -W4EG
