The simplest way to rack mount an non-rack item is to use a rack shelf. The other option is to make up a special plate to fit the 5000 and then drill holes into the 5000, or use a clamp system. I'd just use a rack shelf to keep it simple.
Here is a link to a company called Parts Express that carries several brands of rack shelves. The units from Middle Atlantic are going to be the best quality and heaviest gauge, albeit more expensive generally. Sliding rack shelves have the advantage of being able to slide out the component, but they are a bit taller, which wouldn't be a big deal for racking a 5000. http://www.parts-express.com/wizards/searchResults.cfm?FTR=rack+shelf&search _type=main&WebPage_ID=3&searchFilter=rack+shelf 73, Scott AC8DE -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of George Allen Sent: Friday, July 20, 2012 9:47 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [FlexEdge] Rack Mount for F5000 Has anyone rack mounted the F 5K?
