I would not worry about it..
If you have the Demi preamp, run it.. u don't even need that much
gain.. from the sounds of other peoples results, 10-15db is enough to
really bring the rx to life...
The normal noise floor on 6 meters is high enough that a super low noise
preamp is not as important as higher vhf/uhf bands.
With normal openings (e-skip) on 6 meters, loops work fine.. a wet
noodle probably works fine... If you want max ground wave or want to do
reliable troposcatter.. a decent size beam ( 6+ elements) up in the air
is pretty much a necessity...

I forgot to say that I have a 5000A.
And the stacked, phased, KB6KQ loops of course.

Depends on what radio hardware you are using. Too much gain is not a good thing.

I have a DEMI 6m GaAsFET preamp with specs of 18dBG, <0.7DBNF.
If I bought one of the preamps from Pete with 20-21dbg and a NF of .2 would that make much difference with my RX in your opinion?
BTW, I don't have th best antenna system. It is stacked loops. Might be able to up a yagi later in the year.
Thanks
Zack
