Well, I've finally started perf testing. Nothing super formal, but I wrote a
tool to visit every topic in a body of about 5000 that I nabbed from
flexwiki.com. I just measure the time it takes to retrieve the topic. My
first test run was a little interesting. The results? Response times of
something like 150 ms from FlexWiki 1.8. From FlexWiki 2.0 - more like 3500
ms. Yikes! But I knew it was slower.

The really disturbing thing is that the FlexWiki 2.0 bits fall over and
render the server 500 (Service Unavailable) after a little while.
Investigating that now. My latest theory is that it has something to do with
a topic named Paragraph(12) - the parens may be horking stuff up, although
it's hard to figure out how it would do that so badly that the server
actually dies.

But finding this sort of thing is part of the fun of perf testing. J

OK, nope, the test is still bombing. Next theory!
