Tests on my system, including a mix of topics with and without WikiTalk give the following:
Average of 28 pages -> ttfb 544.85 ttlb 548.35 minimum page time -> ttfb 219 ttlb 220 maximum page time -> ttfb 2718 ttlb 2737 The topic with the maximum time is CharacterReferenceTable (which has a lot of non-existant TopicWords) Other pages that take a while are composite pages that are made of multiple topics (as expected, but time is less than for individual topics added together) Some wikitalk pages take a bit longer, while some take less time, just like any normal web page.
