The identity is determined by the identity of the Application Pool assigned.
In the configuration I showed it as the Default App Pool, which is normally
Network Service. You can check this by reviewing the properties as in step
18 of [1]. This will show what app pool is being used. Then in the IIS
Service Manager, expand the Application Pools to show the app pool in use
and then right-click that app pool and select Properties. In the properties
select the Identity tab.
Also you should have your web.config
<authentication mode="None" />
<authorization>
<allow users="*" />
</authorization>
This will ensure the simplest security until things are working correctly.
