There is also a serious reason for having something like this. In the days way back when I flew MSFS 2 and Falcon 1 it was sometimes difficult to tell _why_ you 'crashed'. Something to tell the user they wandered off the operating surface, landed hard, scraped the tail on takeoff etc. would be useful. OTOH getting beyond something fairly simple would probably need some sort of time history of key events and some aero data. For example, knowing that the aircraft was stalled would be a key parameter. Presumably an ADR could be simulated? But if this idea is used, lets run before we start flapping our arms and do it simple first. >> Or maybe just a balance sheet: >> >> Replacement Aircraft: X >> Litigation (Surviving Passengers and Relatives of >> non-survivors): Y >> Funeral Costs: Z >> Lost revenue: P >> Increased insurance premiums: Q > >That one is alot easier; the numbers are fairly static. >However, most users won't be interested in boring facts >so it doesn't meet the underlying entertainment goal. Its probably more 'realistic' for airliners though.
