Ahh, this is what induces vertigo under actual flight conditions. A sensory
disconnect between the visual cues  and the autokinetic feel of our bodies
and fluid motion (or lack of) in the semi-circular canals.

Even motion based simulators have a difficult time trying to mimic  the
actual forces and fluid motions induced by the actual accelerations
experienced in flight

I can see the headlines now.

"Game enthusiast injures self falling out of easy chair"

When asked, he stated: "I don't know what happened. I just advanced the
throttle and suddenly the room started to spin and the next thing I knew, I
was on the floor.....
