It's 32 ~ 37 mb depending on if you grab the bzip2 or gzip. By today's standard that isn't gigantic. Good point, although I think there has been concern expressed. Just because we split some of the models out into a different files doesn't mean we're throwing them out. The idea would be to split up the base package into smaller chunks, not necessarily a lot of files. We could just have a second file that had "more aircraft". Or a couple files with groups of similar aircraft. Almost all of the size is in three files: field37.cld, field56.cld, and valley.cld. The names seem to indicate scenery, not cloud data?
