I've been thinking about setting up a few new system-info properties,
including OS and colour depth, just for that kind of thing.

I can live with the z-buffer fighting for now -- you're not really
supposed to look at the instruments much in a Cub anyway (and cannot
do so easily with an instructor sitting in the way).

How do you like flying from the back in fgfs?  I might raise the
viewpoint a bit to make it easier to see over the nose, but it's
definitely a different kind of experience.
