I overwrote my old executable so its kind of hard to say. Also FPS in FGFS is very position and view dpendent making an exact figure hard to come up with and on my machine I can become quite 'fill bound' occasionally ie. Panel and several cloud layers displayed and nothing short of a faster GFX board will help this But I can say that I noticed the differance immediately nothing extreme like a 2X improvement but my guess is about a 20% improvement :-) This is on a PIII 733 with a GeForce 2 You want to compile PLIB Simgear and FGFS with these flags Also note that if you aren't debugging '-fomit-frame-pointer' on the X86 platform gives the code an extra register to use :-) HTH Norman _______________________________________________ Flightgear-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel
