Yes. The J22 probably has variable aperture nozzles if it has afterburners. I called this property "position" because that's the word used on the cockpit gauge of the T-38. I don't know what it's called in other afterburning aircraft, but I suspect it's "position", because pilots can't spell "aperture" (or is it "aperature"?).
