In fact, there's a nice video clip of a real-life landing at Half Moon Bay at: http://www.sonicspike.net/flying/ and the displaced theshold is clearly visible, with practically identical markings to the one in FlightGear :-) There are a lot of nice still pictures of the Bay area on the site as well, if you follow the 'Flying Pictures' link.
