I had a similar system. You may find that the BIOS will handle it as a
large floppy drive, so provided you have an alternative method of booting
it if you boot something which uses the BIOS to talk to the peripherals
(like DOS) then you'll be able to copy stuff onto A:

Use loadlin and a kernel.
