The FDMs already do this.  Each gear gets its own force application,
which is a sum of compressive force along the strut and friction force
in the ground plane.  Again, the problem is deep.  It can't be solved
in a general way by simple suggestions.  It might be solved for our
specific situation by an appropriately nifty trick, but we won't know
until we actually try it.
