Hey Robert: are you back ?

2. put models of the actual navaid transmitters in the scenery.
For what purpose ? :-)
Do you mean to improve situational awareness, so that a 3D model of a VORTAC is displayed, including the current bearing within the outside view window ?
Or perhaps showing airspace types as "colored mists". One of the problems a beginning pilot has is relating class B,C,D TFR's, and restricted airspace to points on the ground and the appropriate altitudes. A color coded terminal area could make transiting more obvious, interesting, and informative.
I like this idea VERY much - Robert: please write down such stuff. Regarding the implementation, I would think that it would be necessary to apply a color filter to certain regions on the screen - possibly using particular shapes ... this would need to be based on altitude and positional information, btw: Robert do you know where airspace classification is made available ?
