Right, but this doesn't picture all the required features in this case. If we would erect a repository for manual scenery changes we would need to edit elevations inside the current data. To my knowledge, Mapserver is only one-way. This still doesn't prevent us from using a database to refine roads and other data of this sort. I'll think about that after we've got the scenery objects repository running ....
