Now you've made me curious.
I was using GIMP2 and set the compression to level 9 (max)

How how does one lower the actual quality of a PNG if it's a lossless format?
Must I convert it to an 8-bit image first before saving it as a PNG (or 
something like that) to throw away some info outside of the PNG format?
