The Lake of Constance - the greatest lake in German-speaking Europe -
only seldomly freezes. The last so-called "Seegfrörne" ("lake-freezing"
in the local dialect) was in the 60's.
I'd say we need different texture-names for lakes which freeze in the
winter and those that don't.
