Dear Melchior, thanks a lot for the descpeckler script. I actually lifted it off your page yesterday and came on to the irc to say that it rocks, but you were not there. I used it on c150 which was the most irritating speckle-wise.
I suggest you commit it to the utility scripts section of the FGFS source tree --- it is really a great tool with generic use. Are the offending faces needed at all? do they consume the "polygon budget" when 1-pixel-sized? > * Vivian Meazza -- Sunday 30 October 2005 15:50: > > Melchior FRANZ > > > Here's an example from the Hunter (which is meanwhile mostly fixed): > > > Mostly? I thought we had fixed all such problems in the Hunter years ago?? > Hunter has at least 2 nasty spots -- the black trapezes on the left canopy rail upper face inside the cockpit, one approx at the pilot's 10 o'clock, the other at 7.5. But they are not as distracting/annoying, esp. because one doesn't look there too often when flying forward :) I'm looking forward to have the despeckled aircraft committed to the data.
