Once MechanicsGear has been started and integrated in FGFS it's no
problem - you can change the battery yourself...

Till then you just have to switch planes (or "restart" it, or whatever).
So I don't see a problem there.

I see a bigger problem that this code will be used very seldom but
complicate the codebase allways.
