As mentioned in the LinuxTag mail thread earlier, I've started
preparing a FG live cd.

The cd is made using morphix (www.morphix.org), which is a debian
based, modular live cd framework. It has a whole bunch of tools and
scripts which makes the job a lot easier. It can also do things like
automated build from scratch, which I think we could make use of in the
future. At the moment I'm testing things out and have been setting
things up manually.

I now got a basic system booting and running, and I'm mainly
configuring and testing things at the moment.

What I have already done/planned to do:

    - firefox, with bookmarks/links to FG sites
    - irc clients (xchat, bitchx, irssi), with setup to connect to
      irc.flightgear.org/#flightgear by default
    - FG docs/tutorial, both html and pdf
    - xpdf for viewing pdf (i might put evince on there as well)
    - fgfs bash completion

Things that I need input from people:

    - what window manager/environment should we use/should be the
      default?
    - version of FG (for now i'm just using cvs)
    - fgrun or kfreeflight?
    - what sceneries should we include?
    - what aircrafts should we include?
    - default FG options/settings?
    - terrasync?
    - festival? which voice pack?
    - atlas?
    - fg_server?
    - source code/a cvs checkout for convenience?
    - the windows binary/setup as well?
    - any other arch of FG?
    - anything else?
    - anything that should NOT be on the cd?

Hopefully sometime this week or next week I would have something for
people to test with.

    Thanks all.

Pigeon.
