I am (and many others are) experiencing the same phenomenon (and much worse),
but not just with your Sukhoi and not only in FG. Something's wrong with
the nvidia drivers or GL libs for linux (also reported for FreeBSD, don't
know about Solaris).
It may of course be different causes for the same symptom. There is not
infinite cpu or gpu power available, nor bus bandwidth (pci bus latency
timers?) nor memory (video or system such).

four necessary and sufficient conditions for deadlock)
