Hi,I forgot to add two new files (Hitch.?pp, to be placed in the YASim directory.)
You need to add Hitch.cpp to the project file. Maik Maik Justus schrieb am 06.01.2007 15:29:
Hello, here is the first version of the aerotow and winch patch. The tar.gz containes a diff for yasim (including the ground property patch) and modifications for aircrafts to make use of the tow:The J3 for aerotowing.and a xml config for the sgs233 (sgs233y) based on the bocian config, which is not in cvs now :-( (without realistic parameters, only a demonstrator how to define glider in YASim (without thruster and with aerotow-hitch and winch). The patch needs my "Re: [Flightgear-devel] Patch for AI/multiplayer" Patch (5.1.07).For winchstart: start with the sgs233y. Place the winch witch Ctrl-w. Close the hitch with Shift-w Hold w to "run" the winch. Open the hitch with Shift-w For Aerotow: start with the sgs233y.Place the plane next to the aircraft, which you want to aerotow with. (within 60m) Press Ctrl-t for selecting this aircraft for aerotow. (watch console whom you got)Close the hitch witch Shift-t Fly Open the hitchIf you selected a J3, the J3-pilot can press Ctrl-t and Shift-t himself to feel the forces. Both pilots have to release the tow!The patch is not ready for cvs. I first need to test it running on two computersWhat is planned:-Adding a "autoconnect" at the motor-aircrafts. (Only the glider pilot needs to press Ctrl-t, Shift-t) Therefore I need to transfer some data with the MP-Code (tow properties, hitch-state etc).-I want to transfer the hitch-position (now it is connected to the other aircrafts origin. Length calculations are done from origin to origin to get no delta between the two FDMs)-Get rid of the need to close the hitch after Ctrl t/w.-I can transfer the tow-direction (viewed from the hitch) as well. The aircraft could use it, to display one half of the rope. If both aircrafts do this, we would be able to see the tow of multiplayer aerotowing. If the tow has increasing alpha along its length it would be invisible, that the two halfs are not connected exactly.-As written in another mail I want to display the "own" rope detailed (exactly: I want to put some coordinates in the property tree, I have no idea how to display such a object). Is the user callsign somewhere in the property tree?
