Good catch Joacim! I applied this patch to the kap140.nas in the pa24-250 folder. It works ... sort of. By that I mean not as expected. In order for this to give the desired result, one must turn the hdg bug to the localizer heading while the HDG is flashing immediately after the APR button is pressed. This agrees with the kap140 manual in that the only documented instructions for pressing the APR button assume you are in HDG mode. These instructions state "Select approach mode by depressing the APR button. The HDG annunciation will flash for five seconds then extinguish. While the HDG annunciation is flashing, move the heading bug to 058 deg." That is the LOC heading for their example. >From the documentation, I don't think we are expected to depress APR while in ROL mode, only from HDG mode. But if you move the bug to the LOC heading while the HDG annunciation is flashing, it works when entered in ROL mode (i.e. you depress APR while in ROL mode and then put the hdg bug on the HI to the LOC heading and it works).
