I am all for that. It would be a first step towards enabling the
model-cockpit-view to work properly.
In the longer term, I hope we'll get on-demand transmission of
properties over MP as well, always the ones that are required for the
animations. Then the cockpit instruments would also work.
Additionally, for AI aircraft, it would be nice to have an AI server
that makes the AI world shared over MP, and really flies the planes as
if a pilot would be onboard. This would also make it possible to take
control of AI planes. Normal MP pilots could then request an AI plane
from the server and simply take control, thus solving the startup
position and the changing-of-aircraft problems. Wrecks for crashed
aircraft could be left in the scenery for others to simulate rescue
ops, start fires and stuff like that. But I think I am wandering
off-topic here :)
