True, but there are tow ways of doing it;
* hardcode the effects that are needed
* add the ability to make custom, configurable effects files.

To be honnest, I don't expect that many custom effects files will be 
created and the ones that are created are going the be used by almost 
all modellers. This sounds like hardcoded will be just fine.
